Caelir

The Eternal Horizon

Caelir, The Eternal Horizon, rules the boundless azure skies that stretch above the desert plains of Greater Qirus. He is the god of the sky, the celestial sphere that encompasses the planet. As the deity of the sky, Caelir also governs the stars that pepper the night sky, celestial bodies that have guided travellers and inspired philosophers since time immemorial.

Furthermore, Caelir is the deity of destiny. He is believed to hold the blueprint of each life within the intricate patterns of the stars, guiding the journey of every individual through their existence. People often turn to Caelir when they are seeking their purpose in life or trying to understand their destiny.

In addition, Caelir represents the spirit of adventure. He encourages exploration and the thirst to discover the unknown, not just of the physical world, but also the depths of one's soul. As the horizon perpetually beckons, drawing the eye and the heart to what lies beyond, Caelir spurs his followers to expand their horizons, embrace the unfamiliar, and dive into the adventure that is life.

His followers include explorers, who look to the skies for guidance and inspiration; philosophers, who ponder the mysteries of existence under the star-studded canopy; and anyone on a personal quest to find their purpose or fulfil their destiny. His temples are open to the sky, often located at high altitudes or in places with clear, unhindered views of the heavens.

Caelir is usually depicted as a great stag silhouetted against a vast, endless sky. The stag symbolises majesty, solitude, and the courage to embark on a journey, while the endless sky represents the boundless possibilities of destiny and the infinite expanses waiting to be explored.

Worship of Caelir often takes place under open skies, during dawn or dusk, or on clear, starry nights. Rituals involve stargazing, charting constellations, or solitary meditation under the sky. Offerings to Caelir are often items symbolising personal journeys or aspirations.
